Happy Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA) Convention month! Have you made a contribution to the TSHA Political Action Committee (PAC)? If so, thank you for your generous donation. If not, that is okay, too, because there is still time to donate! 

There are multiple ways to donate to the TSHA PAC. To start, if you are planning on going to our Annual Convention in Fort Worth and have not yet registered, you can make a donation during your registration online or in person. When you go to Convention, you also can make a donation when you visit our PAC booth. At the PAC booth, we will have our silent auction, where you can place a bid on an item, and if you win, your funds will go to the PAC. You also may make a donation to the PAC University Challenge and choose a specific university, maybe your alma mater, to be the recipient of your donation. The university with the highest amount raised will win a trophy and cash prize for their National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) chapter. We are still looking at massages to be an option at our booth; however, we will be keeping a close eye on COVID-19 numbers at the time of Convention to see if it is deemed an option. If so, your donation of $20 can earn you a 10-minute massage.

There is always the option of just making any kind of contribution. Whether it is $1 or $1,000, we are grateful as a PAC to receive your donation. We also have a special honor to those who donate $200 or more; you will be a PAC $200 Club member and receive a special gift. Finally there is always the option of making a donation at any time by visiting the TSHA PAC page. 

The TSHA PAC plays an important role in TSHA’s ability to fight for you, your colleagues, and the patients you serve. The TSHA PAC supports members and candidates of the Texas Legislature who recognize the importance of speech-language pathology and audiology services and who are in a position to put forth specific policy initiatives. It is our mission to support TSHA members, but to do so, we rely on TSHA members to continue to contribute to the PAC every year. When you contribute to the TSHA PAC, you show that you support your fellow colleagues and the clients you serve.
