Congratulations to the recipients of the 2024 Texas Speech Language Hearing Foundation (TSHF) awards! A total of $66,800 was awarded to 38 students and professionals! This was made possible by generous donors. Thank you to everyone who provided a one-time contribution and to some who continue to support the Foundation with monthly recurring donations.
Why should you donate to TSHF?
- TSHF provides support to researchers who are at the forefront of developing new ideas and solutions to help those with a communication disorder. Many research projects have a local focus that can result in direct contribution to the population served and their community.
- TSHF provides support to graduate students who are the future of our professions. This investment in their education and development helps prepare them to be outstanding professionals and to have leadership roles in various settings.
- TSHF provides support to professionals who have demonstrated leadership and service to our professions. Their continued leadership builds the professions and leads to the next generation of leaders.
The Foundation has a strong commitment to investing in emerging clinicians by increasing scholarships for students, increasing the number of service projects available, and increasing research in innovative areas. As stated in the TSHF Annual Report: “This will increase access to effective services, help professionals with diverse backgrounds achieve their goals, decrease financial barriers for students, researchers, and service providers, and improve the quality of life for infants, children, and adults of all ages with communication disorders and their families.”
Your donation is important and is needed to make this happen again in 2025! Hopefully, this amount can be increased!
